Justin Parker’s third album, originally titled My Last Tape (now known as The Suicide Tape), was pressed in an extremely limited run, each intended as a personal gift to family and friends. Recorded during a difficult and transitional period, the project reflects themes of heartache, suicide, and the search for identity. Ultimately, Justin chose to shelve the release, and only a handful of songs resurfaced later in compilations of early work. While not his strongest effort, My Last Tape remains an important artifact, a candid snapshot of a young artist working through emotion, uncertainty, and self-expression at the turn of the millennium. Listening today provides perspective on his growth, both creatively and personally, and offers a rare glimpse into the earliest stages of his artistic journey.
